SOCIAL POLICY

Indus Home will comply with relevant and applicable legal requirements, buyer’s expectations, all requirements of SA 8000 / International Labor Organization (ILO) conventions, and International Standards to practice and demonstrate as a socially responsible organization.

Indus Home is committed to develop social management system for the betterment of its employees in particular and society at large. Indus Home will comply with laws and regulations in all locations where we conduct business.

· Indus Home does not engage forced labor for its work. We will not allow involuntary or forced labor – indentured, bonded or otherwise.

· Indus Home will not hire any employee under the definition of child, or under the age interfering with compulsory schooling, or under the minimum age established by law, whichever is greater.

· Indus Home will strive to improve working conditions of its facility and environment.

· Indus Home will provide a safe and healthy work environment by addressing all health and safety requirements of SA 8000.

· Indus Home respects representation rights of all workers in the management system. We recognize and respect the right of employees to exercise their lawful rights of free association and collective bargaining. We will strengthen relations with workers and communicate with interested parties to ensure compliance in this regard. Indus Home is committed for the welfare of its employees

· Indus Home does not believe in discriminatory practices in personnel matters. We will employ, pay, promote, and terminate workers on the basis of their ability to do the job, rather than on the basis of personal characteristics or beliefs.

· Indus Home prohibits and controls physical, verbal and non-verbal harassment, abuses and punishments in its working places. We will provide a work environment free of harassment, abuse or corporal punishment in any form.

· Indus Home Ltd. will comply with legal requirements aiming overall social benefit of the worker. We will pay the minimum compensation required by local law, including all mandated wages, allowances and benefits. We will further assure that work hours each day, and days worked each week shall not exceed the legal limitations.  We will provide at least one day off following six consecutive days of work, except as required to meet urgent business needs.

· Indus Home Ltd. will comply with environmental rules, regulations and standards applicable to our operations, and will observe environmentally conscious practices in all locations where we operate.

· Indus Home Ltd. will establish an anti-smuggling policy. We will comply with applicable customs laws and, will establish and maintain programs to comply with laws regarding illegal transshipment of sewn products.

· Indus Home Ltd. will maintain security procedures to guard against the introduction of non-manifested cargo into outbound shipments (i.e. drugs, explosives biohazards and /or other contraband).

· Top management of IHL periodically reviews the adequacy, suitability, and continuing effectiveness of the company’s policy, procedures, and performance results for continual improvement.
